How to trade your Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green Games with Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald games

Make sure you defeat the elite 4 and receive the National Pokedex in any game you try to trade in before trading.

In Fire Red or Leaf Green go to island 6 (to find out out to access islands 4- 7 click here)and go to the bottom of the island 6, you'll find a braille and then use the move "cut" on the braille and go inside.

Work your way to the top and there will be a sapphire, when you press A to get the sapphire a guy will steal it, he tells you another password (the first password is given to you by the team rocket grunts in the previous post, click here).

Go to island 5 and go to the meadow, you will find the team rocket warehouse - go inside and work your way through the maze till you get to the guy who stole the sapphire.  Battle him and if you win he gives you the sapphire. (If you lose you go back to the last Pokemon center you healed at.)

Go back to island 1 and talk to Celio, you can now battle and trade with your ruby, sapphire and emerald games.  You can do this because the network machine that Celio built will now work allowing you to trade between games. 

What You Need to Trade:

• 2 x gameboy advance consoles
• 1 x gameboy advance cable

• All gameboy advance games and gameboy colour games can be plugged into the bottom of DS lite consoles?

In Fire Red and Leaf Green- how to get to Islands 4-7

Once you defeat the elite 4 the second time and collect 60 pokemon, then go to professor Oak and you will have to go to Island 1 via Vermillion Port.

Talk to Celio and he will tell you to find a ruby- go to Mt Ember and you will find 2 Team Rocket grunts.  They tell you a password, battle them and go inside the cave.  Work your way through the cave until you find a ruby, and then exit the cave and give the ruby to Celio.  He will give you a rainbow pass and with that you can now go to islands 4,5,6 & 7. 


When trying to move between islands 4,5,6 & 7, use the boat terminal, talk to the sailor in front of the boat and he will ask you what island do you want to go to and then he will take you there for free.

Why do you want access to islands 4 - 7?

• You can catch rare pokemon you can't catch anywhere else in these games, like scyther or magmar.
• Or you can trade between your Pokemon games- from fire red and leaf green to Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald
